The Dark Side of The Moon Is Release 99 for Sicily's RIZZO DJ, with Andre Nexon on the Lyric
Where a Sicilian Producer Fits in the Melodic Techno Wave That Italy Helped Build
The original mix of The Dark Side of the Moon runs five minutes and one second, and every keyboard and synthesiser part on it is credited to one man: Giuseppe Rizzo, the Sicilian producer who records as RIZZO DJ. Out since 16 October 2026 on Maxima Records, the single brings in Andre Nexon, who wrote the lyric and sings it.
RIZZO DJ has The Dark Side of the Moon in the playlist below, and his full run of coverage sits on his artist profile. The single reached this desk through PopHits.Co Music Charts, which verifies independent artists and places their releases across its network of music news desks. Press play on the original mix, then read on for the wave it belongs to.

It is a melodic techno track built for the floor and for headphones alike. The track is framed as a look at the hidden side of the night, built from dark atmosphere, tribal elements and deep melodies, with emotional tension running through it.

Melodic Techno Grew Into an Arena Sound Through Italian Acts, the Wave The Dark Side of the Moon Joins
The wave this record joins has a strong Italian thread. Tale Of Us, Carmine Conte and Matteo Milleri, met in Milan in 2008 while studying sound engineering, then moved to Berlin in 2009. Their sound turned from restrained tech house toward melodic techno after the 2013 EP Another Earth.
In 2016 the duo founded Afterlife, as a label in July and as an event series that started at Space in Ibiza. That brand carried the melodic sound from clubs to festivals.
Milleri then took it further as Anyma, a solo project pairing music with digital art. After the albums Genesys in 2023 and Genesys II in 2024, Anyma became the first electronic act to headline the Sphere in Las Vegas, with a residency that closed in March 2025. Melodic techno now fills arenas, and producers across Italy work in its shadow.

Where RIZZO DJ Fits, From San Michele di Ganzaria to 100 Releases and a Circle of Collaborators
RIZZO DJ works from San Michele di Ganzaria, a town in the province of Catania, and the catalogue keeps returning home. Trip To Sicily came out in January 2021 and Sicily 2026 in March of this year.
The output is the first thing to understand about him. His Spotify catalogue starts in August 2016 with Fly in the Night (Holly Beat), and The Dark Side of the Moon is release number 99. The pace has climbed sharply: 14 releases in 2023, 25 in 2025 and 33 so far in 2026. There is a full album in there too, Elektro Love The Album Vol.1, from August 2025.
The titles also show where the sound has gone. Recent singles such as Neural Possession, Infinity Protocol and Astral Transmission sit squarely in the melodic techno vocabulary. The new title will point most readers first to Pink Floyd’s 1973 album, and the catalogue already holds a Crazy Diamond from July 2025. Even the moon is not new territory: The Moon, with DJPool75 and Davide Erre DJ, came out in May 2023. Italian titles surface between the English ones too, from Se Sto Sognando in 2019 to La Nonna Progressiva this August.
The Circle Around RIZZO DJ
The credits show a tight circle. DJPool75 is the most frequent partner, from So Lost Without You in 2023 to Open your eyes in March 2026. Gianni Parrini shares Behind The Horizon, Music is Joy and Illuminate, and Stephan Vegas goes back to a 2017 remix. Daniele Rizzo appears on Crazy Diamond and The God of Dreams, and Rzk joined twice in February 2026, on Neural Possession and The Essential Rave.
Nexon is the new voice in that circle. On this single Andre Nexon also produced the vocal, while Rizzo handled the production and the mastering himself. A week later, on 23 October, This is Rizzo DJ became release number 100.
Play the original mix on a proper system first, then go back to Elektro Love The Album Vol.1 to hear the producer before the melodic turn.
ElectronicMusic.News’s curator team: “A hundred releases in ten years would bury most producers in their own output. On this single the engineering stays in one pair of hands, from the synths to the master, which is rare at that pace of release.”
